Give because the Bible declares in Deuteronomy 16:17, "Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the Lord your God has blessed you."

Give as an act of thanksgiving and gratitude for God's blessings to you.

First Missionary Baptist Church uses the tithes, offerings and monetary gifts for the work of the ministry and the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

All tithes, offerings and monetary gifts are used to support the ministry of First Missionary Baptist Church consisting of 31 internal ministries; a Benevolent Ministry; Charities (Angel Tree, Susan B. Komen Foundation, Hope House, Low Country Orphan Relief, One 80 Place Shelter for Women & Children); Home Missions, State Missions and Foreign Missions; Colleges (Benedict College and Morris College); and National Baptist Convention USA and Baptist Educational & Missionary Convention of South Carolina.

Therefore, when you give, you bless someone else!

God even promises to bless those who trust him with their tithes! The best-known tithing text, "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it." (Malachi 3:10)
